Engineering Filaments

ABS

ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) is one of the top 3D printing materials available, offering excellent mechanical properties that make it stronger than standard PLA and PETG. This engineering-grade filament is ideal for creating functional parts, prototypes, and standard engineering components, ensuring long life and reliability. Additionally, when combined with carbon fiber filaments or high-performance nylon, ABS 3D printing can achieve even greater strength and durability.

ASA

ASA (Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate) is a highly durable material that offers exceptional UV, weather, mechanical, and thermal resistance. This makes it one of the top choices among 3D printing materials, particularly for outdoor models like plant signs, mailboxes, and wind vanes. Its unique properties also position it as an excellent option for structural parts requiring long-term exposure to challenging outdoor conditions, similar to what you would expect from engineering-grade filaments. While ABS 3D printing is popular, ASA provides enhanced performance, making it ideal for applications where durability is crucial, especially in comparison to carbon fiber filaments and high-performance nylon.

ASA-CF

ASA-CF is one of the leading 3D printing materials, offering exceptional weather and UV resistance. By retaining the advantages of ASA while incorporating carbon fiber filaments, it enhances stiffness and dimensional stability. This makes it an ideal choice for large-scale models that require the durability and precision often found in engineering-grade filaments, especially in demanding environments where ABS 3D printing and high-performance nylon may also be considered.

PC

PC (Polycarbonate) is one of the top 3D printing materials due to its ease of printing and outstanding mechanical and thermal properties. This engineering-grade filament is an excellent choice for creating parts that might fail when using standard materials like ABS 3D printing, PLA, or PETG. Among our favorite functional materials, polycarbonate is ideal for both functional prototypes and end-use parts, offering performance that can rival even high-performance nylon or carbon fiber filaments.

PC-CF

PC-CF is a high-performance carbon fiber reinforced polycarbonate filament, making it one of the top choices among 3D printing materials. This engineering-grade filament is perfect for anyone looking to create structural components that require high heat resistance, impressive stiffness, excellent surface quality, and dimensional stability. For those involved in ABS 3D printing projects or seeking alternatives to high-performance nylon, PC-CF offers outstanding performance and ease of printability.

PA6-CF

PA6-CF is a high-performance nylon filament reinforced with carbon fiber, making it one of the leading 3D printing materials in the market. The carbon fiber reinforcement enhances stiffness and strength properties, particularly in dry environments, while also providing outstanding heat and impact resistance. This engineering-grade filament is an excellent choice for printing various components, including fixtures, clamps, automotive parts, and other mechanical and structural elements that are utilized in dry conditions. Its superior characteristics make it a top contender among carbon fiber filaments for demanding applications.

PA6-GF

PA6-GF, commonly recognized as high-performance nylon, is a leading choice among 3D printing materials, particularly for those seeking engineering-grade filaments. This Nylon 6 with Glass Fiber is engineered to provide exceptional strength, durability, and dimensional stability. Additionally, PA6-GF offers a more cost-effective option compared to other top-tier engineering filaments, making it a valuable alternative to ABS 3D printing and carbon fiber filaments.

PPS-CF

PPS-CF is a composite material made from carbon fiber-reinforced polyphenylene sulfide, which is increasingly popular among 3D printing materials. The combination of PPS resin and carbon fiber results in exceptional properties, including excellent resistance to solvents, corrosion, heat, and flames. This makes it a superior choice over traditional ABS 3D printing options. Furthermore, it offers enhanced strength, stiffness, and dimensional stability, positioning it as a specialized engineering-grade filament that meets the demands of unique and challenging applications, alongside high-performance nylon.
