3D Printing Filaments

PLA

PLA (polylactic acid) is a widely used 3D printing material, particularly for prototyping and creating models where aesthetics and detail are important. Its low melting point and ease of printing make it suitable for various applications, including decorative items, concept models, and prototype mockups. Additionally, when combined with carbon fiber composite filament, PLA 3D printing can achieve enhanced strength and durability, making it a versatile choice alongside other materials like PETG filament.

PETG

PETG filament (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol) is another popular 3D printing material that shares the ease of printing and cost-effectiveness of PLA 3D printing. However, this filament boasts more robust material properties, such as toughness and heat resistance, making it a great choice for prototyping and some end-use parts. Additionally, when combined with carbon fiber composite filament, PETG can enhance mechanical strength even further.

PETG-CF

PETG-CF is a carbon fiber composite filament made of PETG and chopped carbon fiber. It enhances strength while maintaining good toughness and a matte finish, making it ideal for impact-resistant functional parts. This PETG filament is one of our favorites for creating functional parts around the shop, especially when compared to traditional PLA 3D printing materials.
